Bellevue is looking for a Technical Project Manager / Business
Analyst to manage a dynamic mix of custom software development
projects.
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact
between J Street and our customers, and is responsible for
understanding the customer’s business requirements and
overseeing their successful translation into custom desktop and
web application software.
J Street Technology is a team of approximately 12 employees with
customers across the US. We build custom database applications
using SQL Server, ASP.NET and Access.
Required Skills and Experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience working as a project coordinator/administrator with business experience demonstrating strong analytical skills and the understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application requirements.
• Must be proficient at scheduling and tracking status, project approvals, budget levels and support tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail are a must, as is the ability (and preference) to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
• Knowledge and experience working with a variety of software project management methodologies and best practices required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to successfully engage in and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with system architects, project managers and technical leads to create and maintain project plans/schedules/timelines/budgets based on established priorities to meet project delivery goals.
• Monitor multiple project teams simultaneously to ensure deliverables remain on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
• Support project managers and technical leads by independently creating project artifacts and providing subject matter expertise on systems development life cycles and project management processes, tools and techniques.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Gather and document business requirements for custom development projects.
• Prepare and maintain all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Track and report team hours and prepare weekly forecasts.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities according to skill set and workload.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects.
• Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
• Effectively apply our methodology and enforce development standards.
• Prepare for system reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Assist project managers and technical leads in estimating the amount of time needed to complete project tasks and the sequencing of these tasks.
• Work with bookkeeper to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
• Schedule and facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
• Hold regular status meetings with project team.
• Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
